The latest software from Snap-on allows you to reprogram keys to 2007 and newer Hyundai vehicles.
In the System menu select Smart Key Code Saving, then choose the same option at the next screen.
A message on the screen tells you to perform the function in ignition key off status, so press Continue.
You are now shown important tips and procedures in order to complete this process. Again, press Continue.
The following screen is where you input the six-character PIN for the key. The default value shown is 000000 so hit Edit then enter the new number and press OK.
You will be asked to verify that the PIN is correct and warned that the PCM/ECM will be locked due to multiple incorrect PIN code attempts.
Press Continue if it is correct or press Restart if you need to make any changes.
Program the first key by inserting it into the ignition or by pushing the start/stop button using the smart key within five seconds.
The first key is now saved correctly so program the next one in the same way.
