This is the ASME recommended period for re-calibration, but many businesses may have their own procedures.

OVERLOAD 


Another standard for torque calibration is, if the wrench is subject to an overload of 25% or more above the nominal maximum, then re-calibration is suggested.

 

 

AFFECTING FACTORS

There are no hard and fast rules about how long a torque wrench will stay calibrated. Circumstances and factors that lead to different re-calibration intervals include:
