This module covers the previous vehicles and data functions.
PREVIOUS VEHICLES & DATA
The Previous Vehicles and Data functions help you to quickly configure the diagnostic tool to the identity of a previously tested vehicle, and to access your saved data files. From the home screen, select the Previous Vehicles and Data icon.
The diagnostic tool stores the identification of the last twenty-five motorcycles tested, so there is no need to go through the complete identification sequence when performing a retest after repairs have been made.
The oldest record is deleted when a new vehicle is identified once there are twenty-five vehicles on file.
We can now select continue to confirm the vehicle we have chosen from the history list.
Scroll down to see more options or select a different vehicle. Let’s select the 2015 Indian Chief Classic. Select 2014 and Newer. Select Exit. Select Continue.
Depending on the motorcycle, a menu option to select a system list display type may be provided. Some motorcycles may support a “Fitted Systems” display type. In this situation a menu option is provided to display the fitted systems or all systems.
Selecting Fitted Systems will only display systems that the diagnostic tool is communicating with. Selecting All Systems will display every system possibly supported. Simply select the system you want, to access codes, live data or functional tests.
Let’s select Display All Systems List.
A menu of available systems and/or options is displayed. Select a system or option to continue. By default, System options are displayed by category (for example, Audio/Video, Body Controls, Instruments, etc.).
In this mode, commonly used selections are at the top of the list. Depending on your preference, select the icon (the arrow on top menu bar) to toggle the display between a categorized and non-categorized list.
When a system (like Engine or Antilock Brakes) is selected, the diagnostic tool will attempt to establish communication with that motorcycle system. Then, once connected, it will display that system’s main menu.
ShopStream Connect™ download available at: diagnostics.snapon.com/ssc
Saved files can be opened directly on the diagnostic tool. Or they can be viewed by connecting to a computer or using the ShopStream Connect application available at no charge.
Screen capture images have a file extension of dot BMP. Saved Scanner movies have filename extension dot SCM. Let’s select a scanner data file from the list of saved files.
DELETE SAVED DATA
Data files and screen images are saved on the removable micro SD card in the tool. The tool software is also on this card. To delete a saved file, select Delete Saved Data from the menu.
Select the checkbox for one or more files you wish to delete. Or use the Select/Deselect All icon to clear all saved data files at once. Select the delete icon.
Then select OK to confirm the deletion. Or select Cancel to exit without deleting the files.
