Getting Started with SIGMA

Below is a guide to help you get started with SIGMA. You will find all of SIGMA's most commonly asked questions along with some quick tips to help you get started.

  How to configure your profile

To manage your garage details, click the menu option from the top right of your screen, and click 'Profile' under the 'Configure' menu.

From here, you can manage your garage details, set your default labour rate, and gross parts margin percentage.

You can also set up multiple users within your workshop at no additional licensing cost.  

  How to manage parts

To manage and set the price of your parts, go to the menu icon from the top right hand corner of your screen and select 'Own Parts' from the 'Configure' menu.

This section allows you to configure the parts and cost prices that you have in stock, in the example below, you can see items such as wiper blades, oil and bulbs.

To change any information, click on 'Edit' next to the item you want to change and enter your details accordingly. 

  How to add your own parts

From the homescreen, select the menu icon and click 'Own Parts' under the 'Configure' column. This section allows you to configure the parts and cost prices that you have in stock. Enter the name the part and insert the serial number. Make sure you select your VAT Rate. Once completed, click 'Add Part'.

  How to configure your default jobs (Services, Investigations & Replacement Parts)

Click on the menu icon. Within the service, investigate, and replace sections, you can configure your default jobs. So when you're booking in a customer, you can select these preset jobs, this will simplify your booking process.

  How to add a customer and their vehicle

From the main menu select 'New Customer'. Add the customers details, then click on the 'Address Info' tab. Once you have added their address,  select 'Marketing Info' and select the customers marketing preferences. This will be the default for SMS and email booking confirmations and reminders.

Select 'Add Vehicle' and select the type of vehicle and the make from the dropdown menu. Enter the registration and select 'Lookup'. A popup window will appear outlining the vehcile details. Select 'Use Data' and then from the customer details screen select 'Update' to confirm the changes.

  Amend or add vehicle

To amend or add a vehicle to an existing customer, go to the main menu and select 'Customer' under the 'View' column.

Select 'Add Vehicle' and select the type of vehicle and the make from the dropdon menu. Enter the registration and select 'Lookup'. A popup window will appear outlining the vehcile details. Select 'Use Data' and then 'Save.

If you need to remove a customer vehicle, click the 'Remove' button from the 'Vehicles added' list in the lower left hand side of the screen.

  How to add a booking

To add a customer booking, select the 'New Booking' block on the home screen.

From here, you can add a booking by the customer name, or the vehicle registration. Once you have confirmed that the vehicle details are correct, select 'Next'.

Under the 'Service' dropdown, select the serivce the customer requires. If you wish to make any changes to the parts required or the labour time, you can do this here. Once you are happy with the details, select 'Add Job'. The next screen will show you the cost of the job you selected, click 'Next'. 

Select the date requested, and the system will display all jobs currently booked in, then select the time from the dropdown list. Once you have confirmed that all of the customers details are correct, select 'Confirm' to complete the booking.

  How to print a job card

From the main menu, select 'Bookings Today' and select a booked job (which will be in blue), then select 'Book In'. A PDF will automatically download, which you can then print.

You can also do this by going back to the main menu and clicking 'Jobs'. Then select any 'booked job' in blue and select 'Book In', a PDF will automatically download for you to print.

  How to complete a job

To complete a job, select 'Jobs' from the main menu screen.

Select the job you want to complete, click the customers booking from the 'open jobs' column highlighted in orange.

Enter the vehicle's mileage, and then click 'Complete Item'. The next screen will allow you to select the technican and amend any parts or prices. Once you have made your amends, click 'Update' and then click 'Complete'. To finish the job, select 'Close Job'.

  How to add or remove a technician

To add or remove a technician, select the menu icon and select 'Technician' under the 'Configure' column. The next screen will show you all of the your technicians. To add a technician, select 'Add New' and enter the technicians name and click 'Add'. 

To remove a technician, click the 'Remove' button next to the technicians name and select 'Remove'.
