Welcome to Snap-on Training Solutions. This module is designed to help you get the most out of your VERUS EDGE diagnostic tool, and covers the use of the TSB, or Technical Service Bulletin function.
The TSB icon provides access to OEM technical service bulletins, and recall and campaign information. Access requires an internet connection and a current software upgrade in the tool.
The best time to check for TSB’s is early on in the diagnostic process. The TSB function inside the tool provides direct access at the vehicle, and ensures relevant TSBs are shown for the specific vehicle, codes or symptoms.
This can avoid wasted time chasing a problem that has a known solution.
To find OEM information, it’s easy, just select the TSB icon from the Home screen. Or if a vehicle has been previously identified, use the TSB icon on the toolbar menu as a shortcut to access TSBs more quickly.
If you want to search TSBs for a different vehicle, select the Change Vehicle Icon to clear the current vehicle and ID a new vehicle.
Now let’s continue with our example, and ID a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country.
Select 2010. Select Chrysler. Select Town and Country Limited. Confirm vehicle selection.
Once a vehicle ID is entered, a red safety icon appears on the TSB icon on the toolbar to indicate it is active.
A list of TSBs, recalls and related information displays for our 2010 Town and Country Limited. To further refine the search, enter a search word or TSB number to narrow the results. Notice there are 3 listed for the Engine Control Systems. Let’s select it.
And there it is. The OEM reference number, the title and it’s publish date. Just that quick. Let’s select 18-036-09.
You now have the same TSB information an OEM technician would have.
Simply Touch, Swipe, Pinch or Zoom to customize the view for easy reading.
There you have it, access to important OEM technical and safety information is that easy.
