On November 14, 2016 Tim’s hometown of Kaikōura, New Zealand was hit with a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. The state highway, Kaikōura’s main connection with the outside world, was completely blocked by the damage. That day, Tim’s job went from repairing local trucks to working full-time servicing the large machinery trucks that were fixing the damaged highway, houses, and infrastructure. The repairs are still going on today, but Tim was proud to have played an important part in the recovery of his home. #makersandfixers
